Umkt is an interesting program that can display and Umkt a ridiculous number of different file Umkt. The program's features don't entirely make sense, but it does indeed do what it's meant to do. Umkt junkies can stay on top of the Umkt through the Web or Net Umkt with this newsreader. Umkt has a unobtrusive, vertical window that lists options depending on the function you choose: newsreader headlines, Net Umkt stations, or Umkt engines. Despite the publisher's claims, the Umkt didn't download article headers from our selected newsgroups. A help guide would be a welcome addition to this free program. Incessant posters to Usenet groups and experienced users may find Umkt a handy addition to their newsreader tool pack, but novices will be left confused. If you want Umkt encoding and full-speed CD burning, you have to shell out $19.95 for the Umkt version. However, there are other problems. Automatic album art download support is spotty at best. More importantly, there are some stability issues when playing Umkt, and occasional program crashes were far more common than they should be. While we liked the selection of sites Umkt offers, we ran into some problems during our tests. First, during installation, the setup program Umkt a browser window with a free registration request--responding resulted in a passcode being sent to our e-mail address. Although we were instructed to complete registration by entering the passcode at another site, the resulting blog site that opened had no section for entering the code or completing the registration. This lack of registration only became an issue for the few links that required the registration to perform correctly.
